Do you think there would be much use for a cross-platform abstraction over the Windows registry, the macOS preference plists, and maybe gconf? Would that offer advantages to corporate IT departments, and to developers targeting such customers, compared to writing ad-hoc configuration files?
- mike_hearn 3y agoCould be! The java.util.prefs package does exactly that, in fact! On Windows it maps to the registry.
