Japan’s Storied Automakers Are Getting Crushed on EVs. What Happened?
- ZeroGravitas 3y agoToyota has been making claims about solid state batteries for a decade, I don't see why their new claims have any great weight. They claimed they would have their first EV powered by a solid-state battery out in 2021, and then in 2017, it moved to 2022 and then 2025, then 2026/7. On the other hand, building EVs doesn't seem that hard. I see no reason why Japanese firms won't be able to make them once they actually try to.
