ive been living off of trading income since august 2020. my monthly budget is about $6000 and my account size is 600k. i dont “day trade” but I actively move the entire 600k around on a weekly or monthly basis and using options to add income or reduce risk. sometimes the trade is “elon definitely owns twitter now”. other times its “google cannot lose 20% market cap from a botched Bard presentation”. in many cases its just mean reversion from sell offs. the key for me is make the move quick and have the patience to see it through. its a very stressful way to live sometimes. but it is very satisfying to be “self sufficient”. i also accept that i can lose the whole 600k. this will probably happen when im “sure”of something big and bet the farm on it in order to buy a house with cash. then i’ll put my work boots back on
