I want to continue this series on building LLM-based apps to test some ideas that I have. In the first installment of this tutorial, I will explain my thought process for building an LLM-based movie recommender app. I actually got this idea from ChatGPT. I asked ChatGPT to list 10 free APIs that I could use and when it did, I chose the TMDB API. I then asked ChatGPT for ideas on what kind of LLM-based app I could build using the TMDB API. That’s where the idea comes from. Nothing fancy. This is just another proof of the usefulness of tools like ChatGPT for idea generation or brainstorming.
