Nintendo's Switch now finds itself between a rock and hard place
- sylware 3y agoMaybe they should, first, wait for the TSMC "n2" with high-na ASML photolitographers process to be _really_ in production. And I don't mention chips with silicon real estate of apple M1/M2 & chiplets. This maybe the near final, or the final production process before becoming REALLY hard (aka not worth) to have robust mass produced chips.

- sylware 3y agoI would not dare, I know the transistors are still "huge", even with this 'n2-highNA' process, but it _seems_ mass scale production is about to get horribly hard in order to have robust chips after 'n2-highNA'. Only some honest guys from chip R&D can answer that. Oh, and GPUs can be parallelized, BY A LOT, to a point the real limit will probably be the electric power to drive them.
- pacifika 3y agoIf only Apple and Nintendo would work together on something that would fix the gaming problem for Apple and the hardware problem for nintendo
