The title read without context sounds like it's suggesting they should report which IP address/country/jurisdiction they're in. To any random user on the internet. Which would be insane. But it's really only saying "which system path they're in, to e.g. a sys admin".
- mdekkers 3y agoPossibly if you are not familiar with how software is configured. It was immediately clear to me.
- smcin 3y agoI am familiar with how software is configured, and the implied context is not clear from only the headline, hence the headline needs fixing. "Everything" is massive overstatement: bank websites use configuration files, so if hackers try to log in to the bank, the website should report where the config files are located? Nope. Headline way too broad.
