- raincom 3y agoOne lesson: don't commit fraud, as detection is easy these days thanks to software, internet, etc. This is especially true, if you are in an enviable position. If you are at the bottom of the totem pole, no one cares about your degree, your publications, your writings. The moment you become a leader of a small organization, a member of elite faculty club, your past would be dug for any plagiarism, dishonesty, fraud. Most of these people are not that tech savvy, they think that they are living in the pre-internet era, where people used to spend months to get others' research papers, books, dissertations, etc.
