- ffgjgf1 3y agoThe USSR managed to catastrophically mismanaged its agricultural policy to such a degree that people would had actually been at the risk of starvation there without food imports from the west which lasted for decades. So what you’re implying is absurd.
- ffgjgf1 3y agoTo be fair former Warsaw pact countries didn’t necessarily really have that many shortages during the cold war. Yes certain products were hard to get but famine or even malnutrition weren’t a real concern
