This whole wasmer v bytecode alliance is such a weird thing.
I am ultimately skeptical of wasmer as a company. the ceo shows up in almost every front page wasmer post on reddit/HN and engages at times very defensively. Given their past actions and the odd falling out between BA that everyone apparently refuses to talk about publicly, something is just _definitely up_ -- though I can't quite put my finger on it.
On the other end, the Bytecode Alliance and folks at Fastly really seem to think quite highly of themselves for a specification that has advanced at a sub glacial pace. wrt to the wasix runtime: they can't have it both ways. they have explicitly ostracized Wasmer from participating in WASM/WASI advancement. To turn around and then complain about wasix not complying with their spec is a bit more than a little disingenuous.
What did they expect?
