As you are looking for validation, I can give you some. While I work remotely, sometimes I pop in to the office. It's not so much conversation with the people as the whole ritual: biking to the city, enjoying the morning hustle, eating breakfast in my favorite cafe in the center, then doing some work away from my kids, having anything I like for lunch, and finally biking back home enjoying some new route. But I do it only sometimes, and frankly I don't miss the previous set up at all. I would never return to the office, period. The very fact that I feel more in control of my life is so liberating I can't imagine giving it back.
