I have even been waterboarded by a corpo once, on site, and given no feedback. Yes, it was close to where I lived so I didn't lose so much time or money but I would at least expect some kind of response. As for take home assignments, your mileage may vary but up until recently I was receiving feedback from most companies. As time goes by though, I see more and more providing just a generic template response, if any.
