Instacart Warns Customers over Rude Behavior
- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoI can see where this would be a problem. Instacart is matching customers with people who provide a very personal, detail-oriented service. It's rather revolutionary at this price point, in fact: if you could afford a personal assistant or personal shopper in the 1980s, you were fabulously wealthy. So I can definitely see entitled customers who think these shoppers are their slaves, at their beck and call. It starts with the tone of your comments; every item can have a note attached: do you respect the shopper or are you going to be nitpicky? The shopper communicates live during the process: are you going to work with them for a great experience, or order them around the store like you're driving a scooter? I've always been considerate and polite, and I've had some really great, memorable shoppers who went the extra mile on my behalf. They almost always deserve that tip. And I suspect that Instacart, like most of these services, maintains customer ratings, reviews, and reputations that are not visible to us, but your shopper can see what you're like before they even pick up your order. So be kind!
