ctrl-z doesnt kill the runnning program, just puts it to the background. The process is still present with all RAM still held by it... you ca use "fg" to bring

ctrl-z doesnt kill the runnning program, just puts it to the background. The process is still present with all RAM still held by it... you ca use "fg" to bring it back to the foreground.
I think you meant ctrl-c which kills the process.
