It’s a real shame. I have techie engineer friends who use their phone like my grandparents. They’re totally ignorant of any new features released in recent years. One of them even got upset at the group text notifications waking him up early morning, which was so baffling to hear because who doesn’t silence certain notifications overnight. Apparently he didn’t know about the iOS Focus modes that allow certain app notifications while disabling others, and thus allowed everything to come through all the time in case he got paged. He’s a SWE at AWS. Just bonkers to me. I know all the features because I read the release notes for every update and browse the Tips app, but like the article suggests, no one does that.
