Personally, I have more enjoyable things to do with my time than spend a day doing something no one else will spend more than 5 minutes on before deleting it. I’d rather spend a day preparing a D&D game for 6 people who will have fun for 4 hours. Once the game is over, we’ll have memories of a time we spent together. Alternatively, I’ve spent a lot of time playing with Home Assistant. The end result has been automation I use on a daily basis. That’s why I don’t like them.
