Complaining about media coverage of science is an ice cold take. It's been a problem for decades.
The other problem with complaining about "miracle cures" is cancer isn't one disease, it's many. And we _have_ made huge strides in many cancers, to the point that some, like Hodgkin lymphoma, have a 95% cure rate.
- adamredwoods 3y agoWe have made huge strides. The oncologist I speak to is always excited when something new passes FDA, and is very hopeful for our future. But we still need to do more.
- emptysongglass 3y agoHow many of them need to be treated with chemotherapy? Because then I'd say we've done poorly if that's still our secret weapon.
