I use Firefox containers with Temporary Containers (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/temporary-containers/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/temporary-con...) so oh boy do I deal with this a lot. With some hacking I can stop the page at the right time to make it 'always open in X container' - there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to glob for different subdomains.
