EVE Online, blurring the line yet again between game and full-time job.
- pnpnp 3y agoI don’t play anymore, but I’m a little sad it had that reputation. The game was so much more than then, and had (has?) brilliant PvP. It really was one of the games that did a great job of providing a real sandbox. Spreadsheets were just part of the equation for some playstyles.
- KyleBerezin 3y agoYea, it became a spreadsheet game if you wanted to make spreadsheets lol. If you go "I want to be a daytrader" or "I want to create an industrial empire" obviously spreadsheets are needed. But they have absolutely nothing to be with the normal day-to-day for most players.
- yreg 3y agoI never played it, probably never will. But I absolutely love reading stories about Eve. I love that such a place and player base exist.
- ajcp 3y agoThat's a little unfair, most people I know have at least some fun at their full-time job...
