So how do we turn this off?
- sneak 3y agoRip out the GSM transceiver and don't take it to the dealership for them to download logs, and limit who can connect to your OBD port (this is routine during DMV smog checks in eg Nevada). This will void the warranty and cause major hassles, and will become increasingly unworkable.
- quantified 3y ago> They say people can “turn off all data transmission on their vehicle.” To do this, you can decline consent for connected services on its privacy hub or contact Toyota customer service. Right. I bet $100 it turns out they "accidentally" send data anyway.
