If you want the simplicity of pressing a button on keyfob or just walking up and opening the door with NFC unlock, then by design something is going to be draining the battery very slowly.
- smeej 3y agoThe fact that that can't run off of some auxiliary battery pack that can die without killing your starter battery is just silly. Much better just to have a backup key system to unlock the door, but still have the car start.
- inconceivable 3y agosome cars have a long-term sleep mode. you pull the handle to switch the keyless stuff back on. this still drains the battery, but even slower. of course, that can malfunction also.
