I think this kind of advice is more useful when it comes from someone whose business model has nothing to do with startup lifecoaching. Otherwise it has a tendency to get a little self-serving and divorced from useful experience.
- tptacek 3y agoIt's a point well-taken, but I went and read this post after reading this comment, and was surprised at how inoffensive the advice was: like, a lot of this would be very high on my list of most important advice to give (rates in particular). (Obviously we come at this from different directions!)
- idlewords 3y agoThat's kind of the point I'm groping towards, that the people who earn their living by giving advice tend to give great-sounding advice.
