Managing your attitude and stress levels is critical in the tech industry. I would argue getting invested is actively bad. Not giving a shit and getting the job done is better than caring too much and constantly battling to "improve" things. I can't handle giving a shit. It burns me out. The best i can do is a "good job" on what i feel like is a reasonable workload. My grandmother used to say "The graveyards are full of indispensable people." It's true. You leave a void quickly filled after you die. You might as well enjoy the ride.
