Why is this a bad assumption? It’s in the interest to get regulation that grants them a moat.

- Matticus_Rex 3y agoSelf-interest is important to note, but self-interest doesn't automatically mean they're disingenuous. Having been worried about alignment for many years prior to working on an AI startup is an example of great evidence that they're actually worried rather than merely incentivized.
