Don't do 1-person businesses, period (if you can avoid it).
It's not as glamorous nor profitable as Twitter hustle bros make it to be.
Only do it if what you want to do happens to be doable as 1-person.
- ronyfadel 3y agoLet's say that I fell for the "Twitter hustle bros" spiel, and after a lot of trying, it eventually worked out. It was hard AF, but eventually I managed to get a 1 person business running, one that doesn't rob me of my time and I have several flywheels in action now that generate decent income (I won't shill, you can check my profile if you're curious).
- JustBreath 3y agoI mean unless you are already wealthy what's the alternative? Basically you're saying "get a job."
- nextworddev 3y agoNo, I'm saying "consider getting a partner / cofounder"
- JustBreath 3y agoThat's fair. "Co-found a 2 person business" is much better advice than "don't start a 1 person business."
- cloverich 3y agoStart a business with at least one other person, so you have support.
- danenania 3y agoWhile this definitely makes a lot of things easier, you now need 2x the revenue to get to profitability, which makes bootstrapping harder.
