I generally only subscribe for Black Friday so I cancel Prime a LOT and the fact they've gotten away with it this long is insane. There's actually a feature to send you an email before your renewal so you can decide if you wanna cancel or not... but you could opt into that, and for two or three years it was broken so you could opt into it and it would just... never email you.
