If we're talking about owl books, I recently read and loved Owls of the Eastern Ice by a PhD wilderness researcher who spends years in Siberia in Eastern Russia tracking and recording rare fish owls, the world's largest species of owl. It was beautiful, hauntingly written and oddly funny in places. Just a totally unique, interesting read.
