- thghtihadanacct 3y agoNo Way! Most of the media outlets only show more and more mass shootings and homicidal driving tendencies. One look at my news feed makes me terrified to go outside so i should just stay in and order online and consume more media. It is unfortunate that the good things just arent reported as important events anymore because of the fear mongering and distraction from the real problem ... Wealth disparity. Where is my cake? Im hungry

Additionally, even a record double-digit percent decline in murder in 2023 would still mean that a couple thousand more people will be murdered in America this year than in 2019. Finally, mass shootings are on the rise even as overall gun violence appears to be falling." Taken together, it raises the question of whether it's just showing that the murder increase was due to a police pullback following the protests of 2020, goes away if the police pullback goes away. But, in those cities where yet another killing by police has inflamed things again, the problem persists (or gets worse). Shall we kill the patient with chemotherapy, or let the cancer kill them? I want a third option...
