Google’s new Mac vs. PC-esque Pixel ads argue the iPhone has plateaued
- AHOHA 3y agoGoogle seems still upset about the “bluebubbles”.. and I don’t think using AI to post process the photos is a good thing, like Samsung and the famous moon shot.. I’ve seen videos of people taking pics of a white circle in their bedroom and Samsung suddenly make it a moon in the sky, totally fake, not just some color correction and enhancements.
- prirun 3y agoIf the iPhone has peaked, it seems likely because everyone has a cellphone now, and Google's only chance to increase its market share is to convert people from iPhone to Android. I initially went with Android because it was much cheaper and I only use my phone for calls, texts, and directions. It was fine for the first couple of years, but then Google forced an update to my phone (I had all data disabled, including cellular data, and was not even using maps at the time). After that update, even simple things like zooming a picture would cause the photo app to crash, speech to text became much worse, and I finally gave up and got a refurb'd iPhone on eBay for half price. Never been sorry I switched from Google to Apple, and I wouldn't go back.
