Any information on the labeling requirements for synth meat?
- ch4s3 3y agoI'm not sure synthetic is the right word for cells cultivated in a mold until they naturally adhere via cell adhesion.
- collegeburner 3y agosynthetic: something resulting from synthesis rather than occurring naturally seems like the ideal word. the meat is synthesized from cells rather than being grown

- lumb63 3y agoHopefully there is some requirement. The idea of unwittingly eating “chicken” doesn’t sit well with me.
- aendruk 3y agoThe FDA and USDA have been handling this question on a case-by-case basis. The approvals announced today are both for the label “cell-cultivated chicken”.
