While I'll glance at my work Slack after hours, the feature to mute notifications until tomorrow also works fine... That said I'd agree with missing the feeling of being unreachable - it was a different feeling that you can't have anymore IMO. Its not the same as turning off your phone - people didn't expect or have a way to reach you. Just wait until you came back home. So if you mom was mad that you broke that window, you could effectively avoid the punishment for a few hours just by not showing up. (Of course, if you wait too much you could get the double punishment for this second offense)
