I like road trips. I've done quite a bit both by myself and with friends. If you read the text and have an urge to travel, please make sure to be safe. It's extremely easy to get out of the beaten path and get in trouble. I've had a couple of close calls in the desert in my early 20s (I'm 34 now), which I deeply regret. Always have plenty of water (for multiple days if it's dry/too hot/too cold) and capable communication devices (and a smartphone won't cut it in the middle of a desert).
