I think this is a bug. The data is clearly in the network, but for some reason it can't be cobbled back together. OTOH, I've encountered sitations like this, and interacting with ChatGPT can be infuriating when it paints itself in a corner like that. It keeps on being polite, trying and failing forever. There's a point at which it should give up and stop wasting the user's time. This clearly demonstrates the complete lack of a feedback loop where the system checks itself, something a 4 year old human has in spades.
