When Apple first came out with facial recognition I was able to unlock a friends phone instantly by taking his picture with mine and then showing it to his phone. We were both very surprised it worked. I would hope and suspect things have improved over time.
- benabbottnz 3y agoThat’s not how Face ID works. Face ID uses geometric data to map your face. It doesn’t use photos.
- robomartin 3y agoI know that. And I also know I unlocked a gen 1 Face ID phone instantly with a picture. Can't explain it.
