Yeah, pretty big change over the decades in that regard. 1940's radio? Comes with schematic, repair manual, and an order form for replacement parts. 2020's radio? Comes closed with special "security" screws, adhesive, etc., encrypted firmware, and a nearly guaranteed lawsuit if you have the audacity to open it up, reverse engineer it and publish schematics, repair instructions, etc. This is not progress. :-(
