Hmm, in Germany there is a union-company agreed wage for a large chunk of jobs and we still have companies that want to ape the Americans by enforcing RTO. I have no problems with my colleagues living in Saxony, paying 70% of my rent for a bigger apartment while making as much as me. Good for them. Let the people decide; I want to live in Berlin and that's going to eat into my pay. Also, why would the company really care? They'll pay as little as possible and if there is somebody willing to work for that pay, why should they care where they live?
