‘What the Hell Happened to the California of the ’50s and ’60s?’
- jleyank 3y agopaywalled. I'd say computers happened to California, helping to send the population through the roof and skewing salaries and worker communities. SoCal developed hardware businesses near LA in the 70's and biotech/pharma in the 80's near SD. But SV was the main driver, methinks.
