Maybe this is anecdotal, but all the people I've seen who love working at the office are either single, or have something at home they don't want to be around (whether that's partner, kids, neighbor, parents, etc). All the people I see at my (current and previous) jobs complaining about WFH and wanting to be in the office are the people who I'd see there still working at 10pm. If being in your home is "sad and depressing", perhaps that is a "your home" problem?
