Not a comforting thing to read in the morning.
Seems like modern life is quite unhealthy for us but no one can pin down why.
I was also interested in seeing the higher prostate cancer rates. As prostate cancer is linked to DHT and DHT is linked to hair loss, and modern men are going bald much earlier. Another link.

My provider is demanding to go drilling up my butt for a colonoscopy as well as a prostate exam already on my fiftieth birthday. It would seem that increased cancer rates may be linked to increasingly aggressive testing that doesn't seem to be optional, as well as ever-more sensitive criteria. It is my understanding that some cancer testing, such as lung cancer biopsy, can actually cause cancer by the very act, so then doctors get to congratulate themselves on catching it early... very early, I'd say!
- simmerup 3y agoNever heard of that before. A quick google says it can cause cancer to spread if it’s already there. Makes sense, but then if you have cancer already you’re at a point where there’s no good options; just slightly less bad options, in my opinion!
