I recently moved to Seattle where CondoInternet offers unmetered 1Gbps symmetric Internet access for $200/month or 100Mb for $60. Having access that fast changes the way you think about using the Internet; I'm able to host TOR bridge nodes, mirror OSS projects, move VMs around, etc. It's actually meant consolidating a lot of my non-critical stuff back home, I've been able to decommission a couple of Linodes and AWS instances in favor of a machine running XEN in the closet.
