Except that's not what you asked, which is for whitespace between each word, not letter... I tried with v3.5 and could only get it to give to me 1 or 2 lines at a time, but it's obviously capable of providing it. Previously I haven't had much luck getting it to provide quotes or snippets of novels etc., even those long out of copyright.

Yes that is true - it really does not like following the unicode instructions well. I retried the same prompt and it outputted the spaces as literally \u0020… “ Fear\u0020is\u0020the\u0020mind-killer.\u0020Fear\u0020is\u0020the\u0020little-death\u0020that\u0020brings\u0020total\u0020obliteration“
