But likely because of a post-processing step that scans for copyrighted text…
- hourago 3y ago> copyrighted text… All AI depends so much on copyrighted sources that the only reason all executives are not already in prison is because big corporations think twice before fighting each other. For what happens to common people for sharing even fair content see https://torrentfreak.com/ https://torrentfreak.com/
- astrange 3y ago"Depending on copyrighted sources" is not a copyright issue. Copying them is. For instance, you're allowed to read them.
- asylteltine 3y agoIf it wasn’t able to recite copyrighted material chatgpt would never output anything.
- mock-possum 3y agoThat… is not at all true.

- readyplayeremma 3y agoI can confirm this happens with the API as well though. But it does work if you ask it to output the quote in YAML format somehow. acknowledgeFear: I must not fear. understandEffect: Fear is the mind-killer. describeImpact: Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. faceFear: I will face my fear. letItPass: I will permit it to pass over me and through me. observeAbsence: And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. finalResult: Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
- jerf 3y agoHere you see the results of trying to filter a very advanced model with a much simpler one. It can't work, the filter model is too crude. Of course the real goal isn't to prevent copyright infringement but to prevent copyright infringement lawsuits, which is at least a good start. You really need an AI-level model to prevent the infringement... although that can pose it's own risks... https://youtu.be/-JlxuQ7tPgQ https://youtu.be/-JlxuQ7tPgQ
