Good Vibrations
- lockhouse 3y agoThank you, I love your books and this post is great advice! Also, wow, what a collection of retro games and software. I'm so jealous!

- kaetemi 3y agoNice. I got a small stash of old favourite games on my desk as well.
- kuhewa 3y agoInteresting Contra was released as Gryzor in Europe
- 59nadir 3y agoLater Super Contra was released in Europe as Super Probotector instead and was reworked to have robots as playable characters instead of soldiers.
- motohagiography 3y agoThis is beautiful. The copy protection schemes on Stealth, Monkey Island, Another World, Alone in the Dark, and Indiana Jones are practically the appeal of the games themselves. I didn't have video games growing up for economic reasons, so I missed out on these, but at the time, breaking copy protections was an unoffical national sport. Imagine solving these ciphers as a kid to upload keys to a warez bbs. It's unbelievable.
