More power to Japan - such necessary reform can only happen today outside the U.S where unfortunately the political class is fully owned and subservient to the mega-corporations that bribe them.
- klyrs 3y agoIs Japan immune to this, or is their political class owned by different corporations?
- yesbut 3y agoDefinitely owned by different corporations (Mitsubishi, Toyota, their own big-pharma, etc.). And Japan has a bunch of small and larger payment providers that want in on his action.
- lenkite 3y agoNo, Japan is not immune to this. There is industry lobbying in Japan though nowhere close to the ludicrous and unique state that is the U.S. However, corporations, industry organizations and unions are only allowed to donate to political parties and their fund-managing organizations. There are no such things like Super PAC's in Japan. Super PAC's are effectively legalized bribery schemes that permit billionaires to provide unlimited amounts of money to representatives and completely influence all policy decisions. Representative effectively become simple and mindless puppets of the briber class. (I refuse to call them donors)
