This entire project seems to be a workaround for the fact that junior developers are not willing to learn Git.

  It does admittedly have some nice syntactic sugar for things that are annoying in git but come up often, like the easy include/exclude of files and being able to switch branches without having to stash or resolve merge conflicts.

  Git is not particularly hard to learn. Learning how to handle common edges cases is incredibly frustrating and challenging. It's rarely obvious what's wrong and how you're expected to fix a problem. Even worse, the stakes feel incredibly high. If you do something wrong, you risk loosing your work. Or, even worse, messing up someone else's work.
