I think it's important to make the differentiation between hyper-productive and context-hyper-productive, I suspect most devs fall into the latter category.
The context-hyper-productive dev is an individual who seems 10x more productive compared to everyone around them but it's often the case it's the CTO/single-dev of a startup who's entire tech they've built from the ground-up and know every nook and cranny of the codebase so can seemingly solve bugs magically by just knowing where to look immediately, thereby leap-frogging a logic chain most standard devs would have to take.
