How is this different from any dot matrix typeface of that time period? I doubt these fonts were made just for London Underground.

How is this different from any dot matrix typeface of that time period? I doubt these fonts were made just for London Underground.
- Symbiote 3y agoI wouldn't be surprised if the font is unique to the London Underground. At least the first display's font is fairly distinct, I haven't noticed it elsewhere. The bottom of the capital letters is a pixel lower than the lowercase letters. - dan1234 3y agoLooks pretty similar to the font used on the Tyne and Wear Metro[0], though I have heard the metro's signage is made up of hand-me-downs from the tube anyway.
