I was disappointed they went closedAI, but then they gave everyone GPT-3, and I could deal with the mental gymnastics: 'well at least everyone could use LLMs'. Then I applied for GPT-4 API, twice, and never got it. Apparently Chemistry and industrial engineering were not good enough purposes. Keep the ClosedAI jokes coming folks, it wont matter, but I surely like knowing I'm not alone.
