Make an effective executive LinkedIn profile
- blueridge 3y agoI would be interested to hear from people who are in (or have been in) senior leadership roles who do not have a LinkedIn profile, or really any online presence for that matter. What's your approach to finding interesting roles? Does the lack of a social or professional profile come up in interviews? Have you run into any real blockers moving in to more senior roles, or securing new positions at other companies?
- version_five 3y agoSenior people don't "interview" in the way that I think you mean. Someone from HR isn't going to ask about their lack of an online presence. They have a real life network and are having real conversations about mutually beneficial business arrangements, ie working with a company. LinkedIn is mostly kids table stuff.
- AHOHA 3y agoLinkedin is probably the most cringy “social” site in the internet, I never understood how it became the “professional” or the defacto for business social network, to the point some companies require you having one..
