- zaroth 3y agoThe article is just speculating on how to interpret log files. A forced disengagement of AutoPilot puts up a screaming red warning to “Take Control Immediately”, and I can definitely see that happening ahead of a crash. But Tesla is clear in their methodology; “To ensure our statistics are conservative, we count any crash in which Autopilot was deactivated within 5 seconds before impact”
