Google Voice seems to have been added to Enterprise, so I cross my fingers it will prevail.
- Infernal 3y agoLol, so this is the reason I could “call” someone on MS Teams, but in my new org on google chat when I choose to “meet” with someone it just pops a link into their DMs. Bizarre.
- mavhc 3y agoIf I'm in a 1:1 chat with someone on GChat then the phone/video button just starts a call
- Infernal 3y agoInteresting. The only button I have in a 1:1 GChat is a video camera with a plus in the middle, and it simply creates a google meet link which I then send to the other person, and then we both join that link and are talking. The MS Teams functionality was more like a call - I hit the button, and I am in a video chat, and the phone is ringing on the other person's end. Maybe it's just my org's config but I don't have an equivalent function in GChat.
- hgsgm 3y agoChat can make video calls like Duo/Meet. Meet is for (planned) Meetings. Chat is for text/audio/video chats/calls.
- solardev 3y agoAnd Zoom is for everyone else who doesn't want to deal with Google's mess
